Glen Canyon Dam Adaptive Management Program (GCDAMP)

GCDAMP under the Traditional Culture Program and working with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) since April of 1992, have been working together to develop and implement a long-term monitoring and scientific research program to assess the effects of Glen Canyon Dam on the natural, recreational, and socio-cultural resources of the Colorado River ecosystem. The Program is funded through a Cooperative Agreement with the BOR to address Navajo Nation concerns such as protection and preservation of historic and sacred prosperities in the canyon corridor.
